This camera is SOLD!
Manufactured in New Jersey by the J.E. Mergott Co., the JEM Jr. is a very simple box camera made out of pressed sheet metal. Its features are few: T and I settings, one shutter speed. The two reflex viewfinders are large, but unless you're shooting on a sunny day it's still difficult to see through them, because the surface is the old-fashioned pebbled glass. Still, it's got a cute face, and who can resist a cute face?
I purchased this in 2008 from eBay, because I'd first seen a JEM Jr. at Marcy Merrill's Junk Store Cameras site some time back, and also because this was a mint-in-box, pristine affair -- it still had the original price tag on it!
Once I received it, however, I was reluctant to use it due to its fine condition.
