The Konica II was produced in Japan in the early 1950s. It is a rangefinder camera with a fixed helical Hexanon 50mm f/2.8 lens, with Konirapid S shutter. Speeds are B, 1-500. I acquired it in the trade of the Kodak Medalist II.
The black & white photos shown here were shot in August, 2009 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Film was Arista EDU asa 50, developed in D-76 1:3 for 13 minutes. Exposures vary but all were done with the Mark-1 Eyeball.
February 2010: As regards the last 8 images: My Konica II came with a leather case that was in poor shape, so when I was able to acquire another camera half-case, I installed eyelets on the sides and filled in the open spaces with foam padding. Since the camera itself has no strap lugs, having a carrying case makes everything more convenient, no matter how ugly that case happens to be.
