Back in 2005 I was still working out how to use the small room behind my garage as a studio. I was inviting anybody who would say yes to come and shoot with me. One of these trusting souls was Mandissa, 'Mandi' for short. Our first shoot produced some pretty nice stuff, but I was truly taken with her more as a person. There was, in addition to her great beauty, a quiet confidence in her that was very compelling.
A few months later, I invited her to be a part of the "Failed Calendar Project" (see link, although it wasn't known as that at the time, natch), and she posed as a bicyclist. We've done something like 4 shoots since, for a total of six now, and each time I shoot with her she looks (and is) even more beautiful.
Our most recent shoot was in September 2009 and, as usual, it was lots of fun and very productive.
I hope our collaboration continues for a long time to come, and I'm happy to finally be devoting a full gallery to her honor. Honestly, it's long overdue.
