Pretty much the the most famous camera in history, the popularity of the Brownie lasted more than 60 years in the United States.
The No. 2 Brownie went through several incarnations, with some made of wood, others made of cardboard, and this one, of all-metal construction. Taking 120 film and giving 8 exposures, this particular model, "F", came out only a couple of years before 620 film was introduced.
This one in my collection is in beautiful condition and takes very sharp pictures despite its single-element meniscus lens.
