This little gem from Kodak Ltd. (London) is little more than a lot of cardboard and a little metal and glass. There are a couple of versions with this name, but this one is, I think, the earlier of the two, produced in the 1930s.
I've run only one roll of film through this camera, and that was an expired roll of Ansco 620 from the 60s.
I'm pretty impressed that the images came out so sharp - and check out the lamppost pic: you can see an impression of the backing paper markings.
29 MAY 2009: Yet another roll, and my last, of the Ansco All-Weather Pan 620, with an expiration date of 1966. These 8 images were all shot around midday at a bayside park in Corpus Christi. Again, the combination of simple box camera and simply ancient film has produced something of value. (For me, anyway.)
Technical Details: Developed in D-76, 1:1, at 68 deg. F for 11 minutes, after a 2-minute plain water soak. Even 43 years after its expiration date, there was a lovely Royal Blue tint to the water when I poured it out.
October 2009: The Six-20 Popular Brownie is popular no more -- it has become...A MONSTER!! Click on the appropriate link below and see the evil that I have done. *gasp*
