I got this little cutie in November 2009, from the same guy I bought my Ansco Speedex and Argus A2B from. Once again, he has not steered me wrong.

The Welta line was manufactured in Germany, later East Germany after The War. Mine is a post-war model, a Welti I with a Meyer-Optik Trioplan lens and a Vebur shutter (although some came with a Compur-Rapid shutter and Zeiss-Ikon lens, and other models had different combos).

I took it out for a test run and shot a roll of Agfa APX-25 film on a sunny day downtown. I'm very pleased with the results. The only thing I have to complain about is that it has no strap lugs, but I've fashioned a wrist strap that attaches to the tripod bushing, so all is not lost.

May 2010: The panoramic shots here are cropped images shot on Ferrania 400 color film.
