Zeiss Ikon Box Tengor
Zeiss Ikon Box Tengor

One of the more recent eBay coups that I'm proud of, this little beauty dates back to the late 1920s-early 30s as the first of the 54/2 Box Tengors to be issued by Carl Zeiss.

It came equipped with several waterhouse stops, the standard instant/time feature, and a pull-up slide that is marked for Groups and Portraits (all the way down is Landscapes).

In spite of its age this is in very good cosmetic and working condition, and what the pictures won't show you (until I get around to making new ones) is a nifty thing that tells me it was originally made for the domestic German market: on one side it is stamped into the leatherette, "Bezee/das grosse Photohaus/ Leipzig-Neumarkt".
